Many patients have several sleep disorders clustered together. It is not uncommon to have sleep apnea and insomnia simultaneously. The sleep apnea wakes people up and the insomnia keeps people awake.

You obviously need to work with your sleep physician and ENT to come up with a treatment plan. I doubt UPPP is going to be very successful based on your description but may be a starting point. I would DEFINITELY not combine UPPP with MMA.

It would help you to gain some knowledge about surgical options if you will read the past discussions in ask the sleep surgeon section.

Good luck.
