There is a separate "insomnia" forum on this site, and you may want to check out that forum because it sounds like insomnia is one of your primary issues.

Sleep hygiene is very important - sounds like you're on the right track w/ your hot baths, tea, relaxing music, etc. Do you get regular exercise?

I would suggest seeing a neurologist who specializes in sleep medicine (if you haven't already). Perhaps they can figure out why you're waking up in the middle of the night. It might be a problem w/ your circadian rhythm, especially if you find yourself getting drowsy too early in the evening.

The neurologist would also be a good person to talk to about the central sleep apnea. Some neurologists will prescribe medication for central sleep apnea. Mine has me on Diamox (acetazolamide) and Klonopin (clonazepam), both of which are very affordable in their generic form. Both drugs can have side effects, but I have found them to be mild.
