Given the number of elective procedures that are done- its funny, but breast augmentation has risks, major liposuction has risks. riding a bike across the street has risks. it is not that we shouldn't think about the risks, its just that medical sleep doctors to do not have the knowledge of these risks vs. the benefits. they are almost worthless in a way. That's why for me, I had to go to the person I thought was the best so that if complications happened, i knew i would not have to wonder if i had done it somewhere else. the sleep doctors won't have any experience with the quality of life if CPAP doesn't work. it is not there call. when they are miserable with the disease, then they can start giving me their opinion on surgery. but they have almost no useful information.
