Captin Cannuck,
Thank You for the advice. I am 39 years old and overweight, however, I do not beleive I am obese. I probably should lose 20 pounds to be at my ideal weight. I am at the point where I want to "cut to the chase" and have an expert in the field diagnose my particular needs. Would you suggest that I start with contacting my insurance company to get the ball rolling or should I leave that up to the doctor's office. I have decent health insurance through my employer, but I needed to jump through hoops to get a new CPAP approved a few years ago. My primary care doctor and ent are not well versed concerning sleep apnea and more importantly, surgical remedies for sleep apnea. I just need to swallow the idea of getting on a plane to get out there for that initial consultation. I have been trying to research doctors here on the east coast but it has been difficult.
Dr. Prinsell in Atlanta could be a good option. Again, thank you for the reply and hopefully I'll be able to share helpful advice with others in the forum soon.
