Dr. Li:

I am not clear on the differences between Dysthesia and Paresthesias. I had surgery under my lower wisdom tooth about 18 months ago. From have a continuous tingling, burning, numbness sensation in the lower lip area (pain varies during the day). It actually got better for a few months after the surgery but then stopped recovery. My surgeon said that if I had not made a full recovery in an year, then I have to pretty much live with it.

This is the first time I am hearing about aggressive management of dysthesia, your clarification on this subject would be much appreciated.
