I predict that the electromagnets and the electroactive materials are not going to do the job because they draw too much current. The unit would require daily charging, but that could be done inductively and possibly by wearing a chest strap with the charger.

Nerve stimulation would draw very little current and this method uses the energy system of the body to produce the mechanical forces needed.

I thought I read a long time ago that the problem with the stimulation method is that it somehow disturbed the patient's sleep, but I never understood why, it's gotta be less troublesome than PAP.
