Maybe they will coat it with carbon. I believe that this is what they do with pacemakers. When a pacemaker is made, I believe that they make the surfaces very very smooth, and they coat it with carbon. It needs to be coated like this so that the body won't reject it.

It would disturb the patients sleep if it suddenly activated and moved the patients airway. I wonder if it simply applied a uniform resistant pressure - a slight pressure - if the patient would be able to get used to it, and have a restful sleep.
