[T+5wks] Wooden Teeth Feeling?

My arch bars came off yesterday. Whew, what a relief.

I can open my mouth a good inch, enough to eat soft food with a spoon. Also a significant amount of feeling in my mouth has returned. However the teeth feel very wooden, particularly the front teeth. Any comments on when I can expect this feeling to come back?

I also have swollen and cut gums after the arch-bar removal. Looking through the archives, I see that learian had a short treatment of Peridex for gum inflammation. Any comments on that would be great as well.

Thanks!
