I catch myself with chronically chapped lips since my surgery a year ago; I can use chapstick, but hours later my lips are chapped again. It is not due to overuse of chapstick, as I rarely use it now.
Is there a chance that some nerve was severed during surgery? I'd go see a dermatologist, but alas, I have no insurance anymore.
