Hi there,

I am about 11 weeks post-mma surgery. Mine was done with Dr. Li in E. Palo Alto. My RDI pre-surgery was low (14) like yours but I was an unusual case since I felt extremely debilitated and was barely hanging on by a thread. CPAP and oral appliance did not work for me, even with CPAP at the max pressure. My sleep was still crappy around 8 weeks like yours but every week thereafter I felt slight improvements by making some minor changes. I spoke with Dr. Li and he told me to keep my head elevated with several pillows and sleep on my sides. This helped tremendously. I’ve heard other people did not feel complete improvement until as much as 1 ½ years after the surgery so try to be patient.
