I remember having limited side-to-side jaw movement for the first 6 mo at least, maybe 12. Mine is fine now. Make sure to chew on both sides evenly, don't get stuck in the habit of chewing only on one side. All these muscles have changed their configuration since MMA and need to readapt by usage.

I don't have any foreign object feeling. Have heard of it but I thought it was mostly for UP3. I do have some thick congestion tho sometimes and use mucinex to thin it.

I don't have the electrical sensation. This is obviously nerve related. I DO have numbness that is likely permanent at the center of my lower lip.

I agree with your surgeon, in 100 years our descendants will think we were barbarians to do this surgery. For most of us tho, it's the only option shy of a trach. If our kids are lucky, maybe 20 years.
