Got results back from latest overnight study. Great news! I don't have OSA or UARS. Not! Sure, I didn't have a lot of prolonged apneas or hypopneas, but did the report look into why I woke up 23 times? I understand it is difficult to know why someone wakes up when it isn't directly related to a breathing event, but maybe we need a new parameter to score tests the for so called light sleeper?
I know many on this site have been told you don't have clinically significant OSA or UARS. Did that make you feel the effects of EDS any less? Granted, the standard PSG is great in identifying OSA and PLM, etc. My thinking is that a new standard/ method is needed for the idiopathic hypersomnlent among us. Don't know I want a tube down my throat all night either!
Just my thoughts post sleep study.
