Maybe you should look into (TAP) stands for Thornton Adjustable positioner - create by dentist,,, a removable mouth device, that positions your bottom jaw out further than your top jaws, which keeps the tongue from collasping in to the back of your throat,,, I have had one since 2007, for me, works much better than the CPAP - hate that thing -over all cost $1200-$1,500...might be an options before going the surgical route - who knows, the dentist who made mine was in Lancaster, PA - excellent doctor,,I highly recommend it to any one who has problems with CPAP
