I am not sure how much you are suffering, but if you are suffering a lot, then you simply must get to the bottom of the problem. First, you must begin with an X-ray. You must go to an Oral and Maxillofacial (OMF) surgeon to have a x-ray showing the width of your airway. If your airway has been made too narrow due to scar tissue, as mine was (only one milimeter after LAUP surgery) you will need to get MMA. There is no other way the repair the damage. You will have to bite the bullet. The only other choice you would have is to bypass the airway (by getting a tracheostomy. That is not the end of the world, but you are better off with MMA.) Sorry, that's not what you want to hear, but that is the way it is. You must investigate the cause of the worstening of your apnea and repair the problem as best you can.
I also experiened dry throat and voice changes (deeper voice after the surgery).
Sorry to tell you this. You can do it. You must get this taken care of.
