BTW, your blog was the first one I saw on the subject. It was
quite insightful and inspirational. I think it probably helped me
in making the decision to have an MMA.

I actually made the decision very quickly after a prolonged
period of dithering. I had been thinking about it for a while, but
after complete failure with a MAD over an extended period and a
brief but emphatic failure with CPAP, I decided that now is the
time for drastic action. One has to deal with reality as it is, not
as one wants it to be.

I called Dr Li's office on Monday of last week, was able to
squeeze in an appointment on Thursday, and will have the
surgery in a month. The only worry I have is whether I can be
preapproved in time.

I will probably be posting frequently over the next month!
