Perusing through youtube one night I watched a surgery where a surgeon removed a sizeable portion of the back of the tongue and the upper portion of the patients eppiglottis. This was done by small robotic arms controlled by the surgeon. A study for treatment of sleep apnea is now underway at the University of Pennsylvania and looks promising. Have any of you or anyone you know had this done? If so what were your/their outcomes?
