Saw Dr. L again today and he seemed concerned I still can't talk much w/o pain keeping me up at night. I'm not chewing for fear of making it worse. I take 3 advil, 2 max tylenol's and 7.5mg ambien to get sleep. In bed asleep for 9.5 hours. With 2 coffees I can be productive during day. Swelling seems gone. I feel normal minus a bit of tiredness.
It's definitely better than 2 weeks ago when I saw Dr. L last and so he said we just wait. He also seemed concerned about so much OTC pain meds. I read that 45-60 days (I'm at about 53 days) people start to sleep better but I'm in the slow camp I guess / an outlier. I a light sleeper so maybe i just need to wait until pain is below certain threshold.
Anybody have to lay off the talking for 2 months from jaw pain? I have a new theory: my jaw is only open 23mm and I normally talk with wide open mouth. i must be torquing it every time I open.
Any thoughts, hints, stories would be appreciated.
Ter
