Insurance wont cover MMA yet

Just rec a letter MMA is not covered by Blue Cross Anthem unless I get UPP or Tongue reduction surgery first and it fails to help. Im not sure I can put myself through potentially three surgeries to improve my sleep which is very poor on auto cpap.My obstruction is tongue based so I doubt a UPP would help. I dont know enough about tongue reduction to give an opinion since all my research has been on MMA because of its reported effectiveness. Has anybody been denied this procedure by insurance and been told to try other surgeries?
I know if I cant get MMA ill just have to figure something out but since I just found out today im bummed.Any suggestions?
