Snoring is never normal and can be a sign of a sleep related breathing disorder.
There are many things that can cause snoring to come and go. Things that can
increase snoring are alcohol, sleep deprivation, body position during sleep,
allergies, colds, medications, to name a few.

Snoring may or may not happen with sleep related breathing disorders. If it were me,
the next step would be a consult with a sleep specialist.
