It sounds like you're doing pretty well.

After 2.5+ years, I STILL can't sleep 9-10 hours, but I also don't want to. (7-8hrs. is plenty!)

For me, I didn't sleep very well after my MMA surgery until I got off the narcotics. That's when I really started to notice a significant improvement.
