Thanks for your reply (to this and other posts). I've been trying
to tell myself that my sleep issues are part of the process, but I
don't know. I haven't heard of other people sleeping only a few
hours a night at 5 weeks before. Maybe my expectations were
out of whack because of the ease of the rest of my recovery, but
my perception is that I'm sliding back to the way I was before
the surgery. I suppose it's true that this is just an interpretation
I've supplied myself fueled by my sleep-deprived haze and
there's no evidence that I won't get better. It's just very hard to
expect this given my recent history.

I've been doing the saline irrigation and trying to sleep with a
wedge pillow (not that comfortable for me). I don't have a
deviated septum--it's just enlarged turbinates coming as a
result of the surgery. Maybe they'll shrink over time.

But the Breathe-Rite strips are a good idea--worth a try at least.

Are you sleeping okay these days with your CPAP?
