Doing better on the auto-bipap than cpap although I think the pressure settings are incorrect since the bipap settings were based on my cpap titration settings. I get re-titrated at Stanford next week. Never did well on the cpap, and I also think I was mis-titrated maybe because I used nasal Afrin on the study night. The point is to get a rounding of the respiratory curve. I've also heard that bipap at precise pressure settings is better than auto-bipap. Look up Dr. Barry Krakow's video on youtube.com - he used to be at Stanford. Went to get a scope done by my local ENT - he said that although my airway is enlarged, I have a moderate sized palate and tongue but based on Dr. Li's comments I may not benefit from additional surgery. Once you get back on cpap, beware of the rebound effect, you'll feel much worse for about 3 months than you'll gradually feel better. I too have a hard time sleeping at the sleep studies so I always bring my own Ambien which they let me take.
