All -

Today was a rough day, but at least it's over. I had a post-surgical consultant with my OS, and I practically fainted in his office. I had been drinking all the Ensure I could come over, but had somehow neglected to take in electrolyte-based drinks, such as Gatorade, so I was barely present.

While he was giving me fluids (which felt like pure life-juice), my OS also performed a nasal lavage to increase the space around my newly minted turbinate resection. Man, was that painful. Beyond being a sensitive area in general, the procedure was much more violent than I had expected. He basically sprayed a thin layer of chemicals in there, and went to town on my nasal walls with a vacuum cleaner. While painful, the procedure did expand my nasal cavity space considerably, making the rest of the day much nicer.

As for results: I have literally drifted in and out of sleep all day (20+ hours), and am not waking up with customary jolts and sweats so many of us have gotten used to. Even in my current drugged and beaten-up state, I can sense the beginnings of a cure, or at least significiant improvement, every time I wake up. Until today, I really hadn't even dared dream that it would work this well.
