I had a small chin and medium-sized tonsils. Dr. KL felt that
tonsil/soft tissue work wouldn't be enough for me and that with
an MMA, chances were about 90% that I would have significant
improvement. Given that, the tonsil surgery would have been
unnecessary.The original Stanford protocol had (as I'm sure you know) 2
stages: soft tissue + GA and MMA. The rationale was that
skipping to MMA would be overkill for people who could be
cured by the stage 1 surgery. What Dr. KL discovered was that
most people needed MMA, so he began to advise more and more
people to start with that. What I am now contemplating is
basically following the Stanford protocol in reverse order.
