Has anyone heard of this expansion appliance:

This teeth crowding is exactly what I have. A traditional dentist has told me he wants to remove teeth to make everything fit but there's no way I'm gonna do that and reduce the area for my tongue. I want MORE room not less.
Expansion makes more sense, but I wouldn't be willing to go through the mega-invasive stuff some have in order to get it. But an appliance, I could go for that.
