I disagree with the other response - Yes, MMA is a BIG surgery & it requires careful consideration - I'm 55 yrs old, very healthy, athletic - curiously I discovered I had sleep apnea only after a consultation with my jaw surgeon who diagnosed me... I, like you have a very small jaw and bite that I wanted to fix for years but never did. In my humble opinion, you should definitely still consider the MMA - If you wait until my age it can develop into hypertension & other bad things. + If you fix your bite now you will end up with an incredible smile. (I'm scheduled for surgery in 3 months). Hope this give you another perspective.
