Kettlebell, I'm sort of in the same position as you! I feel much better with the Oral Appliance (still a lot
of scope for improvement though).

However, I'm only 29 and concerned with the long term efficacy of the appliance, and the potential problems it
may cause.

I met with Dr G at Stanford, and he was adamant that it would NOT be a viable long term solution because Sleep
Apnea gets worse with age, and the fact that eventually your teeth move, preventing use of the appliance. My
dentist however claims that people have successfully used it for several years... not sure who I should
believe.

CPAP/BiPAP never really worked for me - I thought I slept ok, but wasn't very productive during the day and
totally lacked motivation. I don't really see that changing, though I'll try the appliance along with the CPAP
to see if that works.

I'm really trying to reconcile myself to the fact that having an MMA is the right thing to do, particularly
because of my age and the fact that I have access to the best doctors in the business right where I live.
