Hi Chaos, I am 44 this year and I just had the MA done. :)

I was told my lower jaw was advanced about 10mm forward.

Few days before the ops, I had braces done to my upper teeth as this is used to hold the arc bar and band to the lower teeth after the ops.

I will be getting the lower teeth braces done about 4 weeks after the ops once my surgeon take out the arc bar and stitches. Was told that the braces will be on for another 9-12 months to straight out my bite and teeth.

Finally, yes, I do have the plenty of moments of OMG especially the first fews days. Now, as the swelling is coming down, this OMG moment is getting lesser and lesser.

Still too soon to tell if this OPS has finally cure my OSA. I am back using the CPAP to get some quality sleep. Was told that the result can only be felt after about 3-4 weeks time.
