Here's the deal, I think there is danger fixating on the exact advancement dimension. I didn't care one bit. I knew that my surgeon (Dr P) was skilled at doing this procedure FOR apnea and that he would do all he could when he got in there to fix my breathing problem. I didn't want to box him in by demanding a certain advancement or interrogating him after the fact about how much it was. There are many unforeseen things that a surgeon can run into. I chose to pick a good surgeon to begin with and trust him to do his best. He did, and I benefited.
