western, no need to apologize, you were simply saying that a surgeon can't predict the exact advancement they will achieve, there are so many variables. Sorry I jumped on ya.

gremlin, I don't think everyone here gets a 100% cure, many are still seeking ways to improve their sleep. For those that did well I say right on and want to know who their doctor was.

learian, thanks, I needed a little hug, especially after my pre-op appointment yesterday which was a real shocker.

Also there are such major differences between the surgeons out here it would be helpful to share those. I think it could be done without violating board rules.

And is this largely a California board? I keep wondering what people in Florida or Missouri do if they need an MMA.

FYI the Safeway in Menlo Park rocks. They sell gallon bottles of Jim Beam, family size. We don't have that in NYC. My eyes popped and I hoisted one into my basket.
