Similar situation as me. From the Dallas area but got tired of piddling with the small surgeries and inexperienced Drs, and was getting worse fast. Ended up at Stanford. I was bad enough that I went straight for MMA, then later picked up a better version of UP3 at Stanford also.

Similar experience with ICU too. Miserable. One of my nurses was great though, the other one I remember was not up to the task, and I believe she caused me a bladder problem (another story).

Similar situation in the regular room too. Neighbor patient had guests over until wee hours of the morning and kept me up. Then he snored like a freight train the remaining hours.

Not a similar situation with my surgeon Dr P however. He saw me almost every day. Very happy with him.

I'm still glad I did it, it basically saved my life. The surgeon was the bright spot, the hospital, not happy with that. Sadly, that's where most of the money goes.
