The room situation at Stanford is tight, I got stuck in ICU two nights because they couldn't find me a regular room.
On the plus side every nurse I had was great and really responsive, even when I got cranky. Dr. R came to see me every AM as well as Drs. P, S, and an intern. That's four doctors checking up on me. And I got a fantastic MMA which was unavailable anywhere else. That is what matters.
I do think they could get something more substantial into your body than chicken broth and an IV drip, but that's standard fare. I wished I'd brought Ensure or some other protein drink.
