Gremlin, friend, I'm not posting because I have the answer for you, but because others haven't and you could use some serious support.

I've asked myself many times if I would give up my life savings to fix my apnea and the answer is yes. Luckily my insurance came through for me. Life was just so miserable without sleep, I couldn't imagine living like that for another 10-30 yrs.
