Have you considered being permanently trached? I know this is a difficult option for someone to consider but you are in a desperate situation. You have are depressed, sick, divorced and unemployed. I too, cannot imagine living the rest of my life with the symptons you are experiencing. I finally had a permanent trach put in this past Nov. The maintenance is very easy just 5 minutes per morning and evening. It is must easier to get used to then the cpap and most of the time I don't even notice it. It's a small price to pay for a better quality of life. Also, it is technically reversible (although difficult).
