Well, the turbinate and septum surgeries certainly don't require a sleep study, as they are not directly connected with it. It's always good to get a second opinion though. You might go to another ENT for his opinion. Do you have a lot of problems with nasal congestion?

UPPP is a surgery used to treat sleep apnea. You probably should not undergo it without a sleep study.
