Hi,
Thanks for your reply! The hardest thing for me has been the emotional toll of not having the problem treated than the problem itself. The pulmonogolist said she would "think about it" and call me back next week, but she already suggested that she will not "put me through that testnif it's not necessary". I guess that another refusal and that will be the end of my association with her. The next step would be to go to a new doctor. The gastro has said that I do need the study and has put it in writing, but thiks that since I'm already seeing a pulmonologist, she is the one who should order it. He's the only one who has seen how my life is coming appart with this. Do you think that having de gastro write a letter do the PCP telling him that in his opinion I need that test will make him order it even if he goes over the pulmonologists opinkion? I guess it's worth a try. My other problem is that the GI works "for the competition" and the PCP and the pulmonologist are in the same hospital.
Thanks for reading my ranting and I'll write again when something else develops.Allison
