The Triple Crown of Procedures

Posted by Tom on January 19, 2001 at 15:04:06:

I am awaiting insurer approval for a UUUP (with Tonsil Removal), Hyoid Advancement and Tongue Base Advancement to be done in one fell swoop. My apnea is unreal - 128 interruptions per hour. Why do I always overachieve in all the wrong areas?
I'd like any feedback from anyone who has had this triple whammy at once. Any special considerations for my recovery?
Thanks so much!

(I am 34, 5'9" and a none-too svelte 310 lbs. these days. Surgery to take place at OHSU in Portland, OR. My first surgery ever!)
