sean has given you good information. I am one of the very few who did not have a problem with UPPP and T&A. I have had botah teh genioglossus/hyoid and the jaw advancement. Jaw advancement will mean using a blender to prepare your meals until the wires come off.

If you have the jaw advancement surgery do not be surprised if you require orthodontic work to return your teeth to their proper place. It is not unusual for them to wander following surgery. Evidently it is not unusual.
