Tracey,

I will not try to talk you into this one way or the other. If you look at my posts over the last 10 days, you'll see that I was hesitant and stressed out as well. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so I relaxed and decided what was important to me. I decided to go ahead with the surgery (UP3, septo, and turbinate reduction) and have not regretted it. I felt at peace about my decision, but that didn't stop the anxiety one feels when going in for surgery.

I have been fortunate with my recovery so far, and if the posts on this site are an indication, a remarkable one thus far.

One of the early responses to your post has it right. I barely feel the nose pain because of the throat. I still am on pain medications, but expect to be off those by 7 days post surgery. I have experienced much less pain than I anticipated, but that may not be your case.

You know yourself better than anyone, so trust your decision when you weigh all the factors that are important to you.

David
