Yes I did have and still to some degree have that problem, it has lessened lately, but still hacking up a lot of phlegm. As for the dryness, try putting a room humidifier right next you beside the bed when you sleep. I put mine up on a little bench and it blew up over me all night and I noticed an incredible difference. I still get dry at night, so I am still using it. But hopefully all these things will get better.
