newly diagnosed sleep apnea

Posted by Barry on January 22, 2001 at 14:43:26:

I have just been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. My doctor ran through a litany of options, including a progressive series of surgeries, yet he told me that they had only a 50% success rate. He also mentioned the CPAP. His recommendation was to first operate on my nose to enlarge my right nasal passage. At the same time, he would do a tonsillectomy. Then, we would see how i'm doing. i was wondering if anyone had experiences with these procedures they could share.
