No, you are not alone in that feeling. I believe sleep to be a gigantic waste of time. The more I am awake, the more I get done, mostly in my job. For me, I average 75 hours per week and always feel that I should be doing more with my time. I sleep because I have no choice at some point.

Workaholic? Probably, but I seem to enjoy the challenges I set for myself.

But...I will admit there is something to the benefit of sleep. The book by a Dr. Dement "The Promise of Sleep" is well worth investing.
