The answer to this is really very simple.

If a patient has sleep apnea and does not comply to prescribed treatment, then that person just is not sick enough yet.

I will almost guarantee (depending on variables) that the patient will become sick enough one day that he will do anything to reverse the problems.

It is my hope no one ever gets to that point.
