lying to doctors

I totally agree! In an ideal world we would be 100% honest with the doctors, but in the real world it doen't work like that. It's not childish, it's part of the negotiation to get better care. Sometimes the patient knows best because he/she know his/her body more than anyone else. After a failed and useless sleep study (I've told this story a million times, I won;t repeat it), after 5 years they agreed to repeat it. They didn't repeat it before because I told them I had had already one. As soon as I saw one of the associates of the PCP I told her about my choking and kept the info about having had one and whe ordered one! Generally they are the ones who don't believe me especially about horrible side effects, so I end up keeping a lot of things.
