Hmmmm. Where did you have the somnoplasty? Was it to the palate? Do you know how many zaps you got?
Post nasal drip...the bane of my existence. Do you have allergies? Usually that's a big cause of mine. An antihistimine like Allegra or Zyrtec might help or a nasal steroid like Flonase. If you take a decongestant for your post nasal drip, I HIGHLY recommend a decongestant with guifenasine (found in cough medicines and Sudafed Non-Drying). The guifenasine thins the mucous and makes a big difference, I've found. Check the labels--it's over the counter.
It's possible that you're still swollen from the surgery. My doc said 4-6 weeks after my UPPP/tonsils. 4 weeks should be enough but maybe not? If you're concerned, call your dr. He/she may be able to advise on the phone whether or not you should go back in.
Do you know, are you scheduled for more somno treatments? Alamo Joe has been updating us with his day by day recovery from major somno. Some drs. take a different approach and do several treatments to one area over a number of weeks.
As far as snoring, well after UPPP my snoring has gone away. However, one week I had a cold and my fiance reported that I did snore that week only. If you're sick or if you're having allergy problems that may explain the snoring. Do you still have your adenoids?
Hope you find the answer!
Shelby
