Thank you for the encouragement everyone. I had a REALLY bad day yesterday, as was pretty evident. I'm feeling better today, but this morning I woke up with the CPAP machine off and the stuff on the floor, and I don't remember taking it off at all last night. I went to bed with it on, so I don't know how long I slept with it on.

I'm using the Adams Circuit with nasal pillows. The large ones. I really have a hard time with the fact that it is cumbersome on my head and won't stay in place. I'm supposed to get a contour deluxe this week. I just don't really feel like that's going to do much good, since part of the problem is the whole idea of spending the rest of my life with all this stuff on, every night. (I'm only 31 and can't imagine 40 years or so of sleeping with this on). Plus, I don't want to put up with it while I travel, or what if I'm camping? where do I plug it in? Not to mention lugging the extra weight around in the pack.

Anyway, I really don't feel like it's a matter of getting used to it or not. I do NOT like the entire idea of having this thing on my head while I sleep, even though I'm not claustrophobic. Plus, it rarely stays on right.

So, I decided to go ahead and try it for as long as I have to for the insurance company and then I'm going to start the process rolling on the surgery.

Thanks again.
