I mis-stated #2. It should have said that the trache is the only procedure that is 100% predictable that it will provide a 100% cure. Clearly, any procedure has the potential for a 100% cure, even if it doesen't do so most of the time. So, it is well known that most of the time the UPPP doesn't cure apnea. Which means that the least of the time it does. The figures are probably reversed for the MMA, and everything else is somewhere inbetween. Which means so what, the job is to pick the best alternative for you. That could even be the guy in the southeast who does the laproscopic stomach stapling. His theory is that reducing weight will cure apnea. I'm sure for some it does.
