As I said in my previous post, I've already posted links to papers in my previous posts to the non-CPAP forum 4. There's a search button at the top of this web page. Use it.
But since some people have had problems viewing those papers online (I'm not certain, but I suspect the problem is that I get free access to these journals through my job), here are the references. Take them to any public library, and they'll be able to get you xeroxes of the papers for free.
Regarding CPAP compliance rates:
Redline S. Adams N, Strauss ME, et al. Improvement of mild sleep-disordered breathing with CPAP compared with conservative therapy. Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 1998;157:858-865.
Engleman HM, Kingshott RN, Wraith PK, et al. Randomized placebo-controlled crossover trial of continuous positive airway pressure for mild sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome. Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 1999;159:461-467.
Regarding MMA sucess rates:
Prinsell, J.R. Maxillomandibular Advancement Surgery in a Site-Specific Treatment Approach for Obstructive Sleep Apnea in 50 Consecutive Patients. Chest 1999; 116:1519-1529.
Share and Enjoy.
