Ugh--this is the one thing that really worries me about my upcoming MMA.

One thing that pops to mind is to use BreatheRight strips to hold your nostrils open. It can't hurt, but it sounds like they won't do it all for you.

Why are you congested? Is it allergies to pollen or something? If so, then turning on the air conditioning and getting an electrostatic air cleaner (to sweep up the pollen in your room's air) could help.

Did you have any nasal surgery before your MMA? I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction specifically so that I could breathe more easily through my nose only in preparation for an MMA.

Sorry I can't offer any real help, but I feel for you, man.
