Even after 4 weeks there's still some hidden internal swelling left. You should wait another month and see how you feel.

I had a genioglossus advancement (via sliding genioplasty) and a hyoid suspension about 3 1/2 months ago. This has helped things a little, but not enough to cure the apnea. Some nights my apnea is almost as bad as pre-surgery. I use a dental appliance which makes things semi-tolerable. Went to see the doc recently. I probably need to do the MMA.
